| There is no specific date therefore you can start whenever you like since Karate is an individual sport. |
| 006 | How would Martial Arts improve confidence? |
| Since Karate is not a team sport, each individual has their own personal achievements and progress. They learn new techniques, earn higher belts thus improve their spirit and confidence. |
| 007 | How do you compare Aerobics exercise with Karate training? |
| Both are great for exercise but Karate can be more challenging and can help develop knowledge that will be with you for a lifetime. If you stop training in Aerobics, it will no longer be of use to you but when you discontinue Karate training you have valuable self defense skills that may help you later in life. |
| 008 | What are the belt colors in Enshin? |
| In order, they are: white, blue, yellow, green, brown, black. |
| 009 | What do you think of women's one/two week intensive crash courses in self defense? |
| Self defense can only be of use if it is a second nature to you. In order to defend yourself in a fight you need to be able to act quickly by instinct without the interference of thought. To do this, you need months perhaps years of repeating techniques. Crash courses may be of little help as you need to repeat techniques for months on end in order to progress to the stage that you can act in a state of fear. |

| 011 | I have a black belt from another style of Karate, what is the equivilent belt in Enshin? |
| If you come from another style, you will be considered a beginner although you will be wearing an orange belt (which is not in our belt system) until you train for a while. We will then test you and provide you a belt from the Enshin belt system based on your skills (from blue to black). |
| 012 | What schools in Falls Church do you pick up for your After School program? |
| We pick up from Lemon Road ES, Shrevwood ES, Freedom Hill ES, Stenwood ES, Haycock ES, Westgate ES at this time. |
